Merry Christmas ~ 2014

Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!

In thinking of what to write and always feeling as if I am writing to someone else and why would someone else want to know what is going on in my head it crossed my mind to write this to me. After all I did mention at one point that this blog seems to document our life and having it to look back on and reminisce is nice.

However, I realized something - I am a crappy picture taker and in order to document our lives I need to take more pictures. Unfortunately, I find that if I'm hiding behind the camera I miss a lot of the stuff firsthand. Know what I mean?

Here is to the New Year approaching and hoping I do better with picture taking!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

This is how you know Christmas is coming in my house - the Santa Mugs come out!

Dear Blog

I am so sorry.

I have tremendously neglected you instead of celebrate and praise you for your place in my life. I will try and do better.

I promise.

Busy

I have been quite busy and once again neglected my little private space on the web. I should really make a concerted effort to keep this space current because I have found that I refer to it for specific events that have happened in our lives. In addition, I do an awful job keeping scrapbooks so this is a good way to document our lives.

Okay, crossing my fingers that I make it back here soon!

PROMPTuesday - My Weird Quirks

I am submitting this PrompTuesday - My Weird Quirks so I can "defray the blinding light of CRAZY" San Diego Momma shined on herself. I love that she is one of the few that are brave enough to share!

Here are a few quirks that I can think of right off the top of my head -

The Front Door
I lock the front door. All the time. If I am in the house I would prefer it is locked. Period. If I walk by I have to check it. If it is unlocked because someone else came in and didn't lock it then I have to lock it. If I hold the door open for my husband to take out the trash he has to remind me to not lock the door. If he doesn't remind me I might lock him out because apparently it is a compulsion, habit, normal bodily function for me to lock the door every time I close it.

The Closet
If the closet has slider doors then they must be closed at all times. If the doors are in my line of sight or even in my peripheral vision then they have to be closed and flush with the wall itself. All the way. If said closet door is not in its desired place at any given time then I will get up and do it or have my husband do it when he walks into the room.

The Wooden Spoon
Gross! Wooden spoons that come with an ice cream or snack make me gag. I cannot eat from one of them. It makes me feel like I'm rubbing a napkin on my tongue and just typing that made me shudder. Blegh.

I have plenty more of these weird quirks, but if I wait to think of them all I'll never hit the almighty Publish button and I can't have that.

Do you have any quirks you would like to share? If so, do so now so you can "defray the blinding light of CRAZY" I have shone on myself.

The Movie Watcher

When you're flipping through the channels do you ever stumble across an old classic movie you have already seen, but you still stop to watch. Then get hooked. Then continue to have to watch the whole thing compulsively unless something absolutely drags you away?

I do.

This happens to me all the time. I have seen the movie. I have it on video tape. I have it on DVD. I could always stop and watch the movie on one of these vices, but I never do. I only stop to watch these movies when I have a million other things to do. What is it about catching a movie on TV and watching it right then and there? Especially when you have things to do.

Anyone else have this problem?

This post was made possible by the great American classic Trading Places.

Happy Anniversary!

You are the best person who has ever happened to me.
I love you.
